Thorogood is a petty and sour prick. Years ago he came to our city for our blues festival and relied on our local blues association to help him promote his show by doing street team work and talking about him in the clubs at gigs. In return, he was asked to sign a guitar (signed by several other artists) which would be auctioned for a charity that provides health care for working musicians. He demanded an additional $500 to sign the guitar. We didi not share his opinion on the value of his autograph, did not pay the extra money after putting a dozen people to work promoting him for free and he has not been invited back to our tiny festival which draws over 100,000 people each year.

I saw George in concert in Washington, DC back in 1984 (might have been '85) which remains one of the best nights of my life. That I am fortunate enough to relive that night just a little bit every time I see a great video like this brings joy into my life. Thank you George for all your years of entertaining and thank you Joe for bringing George up with you to play!
